Michael is owned by Patricia Fendley and lives in Crestwood, Kentucky. I fell in love with Michael the first time I met him when he was only 1 year old. What a handsome Spinone! Great head, substance, conformation, temperament, and he has gorgeous ears and a great personality, too. What a nice dog!
Michael was bred in Holland and has relocated now in Kentucky. With a breed that is relatively rare, it is important to introduce other good, sound lines into the breeding programs in the US; so Michael is "new blood" in the US Spinone world and gene pool. This is also why the denotation of Champion and other titles is different on pedigrees as other countries have different methods of notation.
Michael earned his AKC Champion status when he was just six months old. From there he has gone on to participate in Rally, earned his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title, and worked in the hunt field, his first love, as well. He now has earned his RN and JH titles; Michael is a born hunter! So, besides being a handsome fellow, Michael has many other talents too.
Millie and I took a road trip to go visit Pat and Michael in May (and to let Millie and Michael "meet" in the hopes of puppies). Ever the southern gentleman, Michael took time out from hunting and was also the perfect host. If Michael and Millie are any indication of this litter, these pups will have lots of personality, even temperaments, loving natures, and be beautiful and skilled hunters as well---all of the good characteristics a of great Spinone for the show ring or hunting field while being wonderful family members too!
